Planning - Location

We are also now beginning to get a good idea as to what locations we might use for our music video. We will obviously need a minimum of two different locations (one for performance, one for narrative), although it is likely we will need more in the case of the narrative part of the video. The field (shown below) is the type of location we are looking for parts of the narrative as will allow for it to be more effective as the wide-open space could allow the audience to feel like it is just the couple who are in existence and that they in their own little world. This is something that we thought would not have been possible if for the entire video, the location  had stayed on the house, as it would have difficult to get across the idea that the couple being shown were part of something unique and special.

Also, while we do have some ideas for our locations for narrative, we have chosen our location for the performance part of our video. The location we have chosen is of the pit (pictures below) which is the drama hall at school. While we were thinking about how this could be potentially a good location for a few weeks, when the band 'Strangers' came in and did a gig for us, we were shown just how the staging can be used to great effect, as it allows for a variety of shots to be filmed from different angles.
