Planning - Ideas for Costume

In order to get an idea as to what type of clothing we would want our singer to wear for our final video, we have to look at the typical clothing that is seen in some other Michael Buble videos.

'Feeling Good'

From looking at some Michael Buble videos, such as the one on the left, we can see that the costume we see hear is very typical of Michael Buble videos. He is easily identifiable with a suit and black tie, which is now becoming one of the conventions of which his audience easily identify him by. As we have discovered that this is the typical clothing of his videos, we will strongly consider using this type of clothing in our own video.

'Crazy Love'

We also found out that the video for the song we want to do shows (Crazy Love), Michael Buble is casual clothing (on the left) which is certainly quite untypical for his types of videos. Although we have considered using this type of clothing, we feel that, at this stage, we are more likely to go with the suit as it is seen as the more common costume, not just in Michael Buble's videos, but in songs of this genre in general (as is shown by pictures below).

Frank Sinatra and Nat Cole are examples of singers from the jazz genre who were very much identified by a similar type of costume.
